I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
